I have been working as a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner in the emergency room since 2013. I will provide a welcoming, non judgemental, unbiased safe space for you to just be, while I support and listen to you. We will take life one step at a time, one day at a time.
I earned my first master’s degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019 from Texas Woman’s University in Houston. I worked in an outpatient clinic for a large hospital organization. When the pandemic hit, I decided to return back to school in 2021, and in 2023, I completed my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Houston-Victoria.
I pull techniques from several theories but primarily work from a solution-focused and reality/choice therapy, positive psychology viewpoint. I have been ART (accelerated resolution therapy) trained as of 3/2024, and offer this both in person and virtual.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking and creating new vegetarian/vegan recipes with my husband, thrifting, playing with my dogs, spending time on my nintendo switch, spending time outside, and hermitting at home on the couch enjoying quiet time.
What I do: I provide both in-person and virtual counseling.
